VOLT Award Winner 2014 Announced

The VOLT Award is delivered by Ausform for the circus arts and given to a project that has been going through the VOLT Scratch Nights the year leading up to the award announcement. 

The award is given to an artist that has demonstrated: 

  • Innovation of circus arts
  • Genuine experimentation of an idea
  • Visually exciting and rich piece
  • Has potential for European touring 
  • The award will make a difference to the artist’s career

The award is for development of the piece presented at VOLT Scratch Night and not transferable to another project. 
It includes cash and support in kind to the value of minimum £1200. 

The award for 2014 has gone to Ziggy Slingsby and her project ‘Horse’.
We are delighted to be able to present this award to Ziggy and look forward to the developments of ‘Horse’. 

The VOLT Award was delivered at Circomedia church at the last VOLT Scratch Night in April 2014. The panel for VOLT Award consists of members of Ausform and Circomedia teams. 

VOLT Award 2014 has been delivered by Ausform with support from Circomedia and Bristol City Council.
