Calling all Circus makers! Welcome to Volt – the work-in-progress ‘Scratch’ night at Circomedia Portland Square, co-produced by Ausform and Circomedia. We are adapting the scratch format used in theatre, to benefit the circus community. We are offering 5 artists 5-10 minute slots to air a new idea to a friendly and critical audience.

If you are a circus maker locally, nationally and internationally with a new idea then we are interested in hearing from you. Please come to us with a possibility, a beginning, this is a space to just try it out.

Volt will include a feedback session facilitated by Ausform/Circomedia driven by questions from the performers.

Ausform is a producing company working in unusual theatre and circus arts. We are keen to offer circus the opportunity to develop its audience relation, performance quality and future prospects through this scratch event.

Circomedia is an internationally renowned centre for contemporary circus and physical theatre based in Bristol. Their performance space St Paul’s Church in Portland Square is a fully equipped space to support all circus and theatre practices, in Bristol, UK.
